Connecticut Warbler @ Bluff Pt

This morning at Bluff Point in Groton, CT birders were treated to a substantial morning flight, including an estimated 5,000 warblers. Julian Hough and I broke off from the usual vigil along the fence to find a viewpoint more conducive to watching warblers in flight for a longer period, which also allowed us to attempt photography here for the first time (key word here being attempt!). Our reward was a rather low-altitude (for the location) flyby CONNECTICUT WARBLER.

Perhaps more thoughts on Bluff Pt in a future post. Here are some photos of the COWA.
